The Haifa Economic Corporation is working towards its goal of developing knowledge-intensive industries while basing Haifa's status as Israel's principal research and development center, home for leading international technological companies.

In fulfilling its vision, the Corporation established and developed the MATAM Park at the southern entrance to city, which covers an area of ​​about 240,000 m2, most of which is built and leased to some of the world's leading companies, including: Apple, Amazon, Google, Intel, Microsoft, IBM, Elbit, Yahoo, Philips and more. There are over 12,000 R&D engineers and service providers employed at MATAM.

The park is managed and developed by MATAM, which is jointly owned by the Haifa Economic Corporation and Gav-Yam. www.gav-yam.co.il.

MATAM owns two subsidiary companies: SHATAM, which provides MATAM park resident companies with management, development and maintenance services. The International Convention Center Haifa www.icchaifa.co.il, which manages and operates the entire convention complex, including the shows, exhibitions and conference halls.
