In promoting Haifa's tourism, the Corporation established the Haifa International Convention Center through the MATAM subsidiary. www.icchaifa.co.il.
Established as a center for tourism, shopping and entertainment the venue is now a growth engine in business tourism, conventions, exhibitions, events and large-scale shows.
The convention center spans 24,000 m2 with additional developed areas extending over 75,000 m2 which include:
- Exhibition, conference halls and discussion rooms
- Israel's largest show hall in the north designed for about 2,100 spectators
- A number of venues for commercial and tourist services
- An entertainment center including five movie theaters and an extreme-sports center
- An outdoor reception area and catering services
