The Haifa Economic Corporation understands the power technology has in shaping the future. The Corporation encourages and supports actions to create quality jobs and prevent young people from leaving the city, as part of its forward-looking plan for years to come. The Corporation has chosen to focus on reality-changing technologies which will support improvement of sustainability, including urban planning, sustainable transportation, urban landscaping, renewable energies and more. Through this strategy, the Corporation joined an innovative technological company with a unique idea to establish an urban Smart City, Smart Mobility & Cyber simulator, which is currently being constructed at Haifa's southern entrance on a huge area adjacent to MATAM and the Sciences Park, planned to comprise of management and control of urban infrastructures such as: electricity, street lighting, water, sewage, parking, waste, communications, traffic lights, security and safety. The simulator will provide startup companies full access to the municipal databases as part of their technological products research and development activities.
